About Affordable Insulation Solutions

Affordable Insulation Solutions is a new business that expanded from its partner business, RetroFoam of Minnesota. Carla Ringold and her son Tim Ringold have operated Retro Foam of Minnesota since early 2008.

While we trust our RetroFoam products for superior quality, after years of operation we determined our customers would benefit from more insulation options. The Ringolds adopted the whole home approach and, with a new partnership business, we’ve grown into a full service insulation provider with a full spectrum of insulation products for existing homes. 

Affordable Insulation Solutions is fully insured and specializes in whole home insulation for existing homes. We do not work on new construction. With a focus on retrofitting existing homes, our products are warrantied for life and our services come backed with professionally trained and certified employees. Tim Ringold, vice president of Affordable Insulation Solutions, is certified as a building analyst professional by the industry trade best practices group Building Performance Institute (BPI), and is a certified renovator by M&J Environmental Institute for Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair, and Painting.

We are also an Xcel Energy approved Participating Home Performance contractor and Better Business Bureau Accredited.
